From newbuild
to operation.
Prospector Offshore Drilling S.A. was established around a modern jack-up fleet capable of working in harsh offshore environments. Its public record connects shipyards in China with operations in the United Kingdom sector of the North Sea.
Prospector 1 arrived at Invergordon in 2013. By November 2014, public reporting identified Prospector 1 and Prospector 5 as two high-specification JU2000E units contracted to Total.
The operating challenge is to bring people, technical systems and contractual responsibilities into alignment. That work begins long before a rig reaches the well location.
